Application status and employer review
Learn what application statuses can mean, typical timelines, and how employers move candidates through the process.
After you apply, the employer and their process drive what you see. Statuses may show received, in review, advance, or closed depending on the integration and the settings your employer uses.
Timelines vary widely. Technical and cleared roles can take longer because of program paperwork, interviews, and background steps. A lack of updates does not always mean a negative outcome, but you can also pursue other roles in parallel.
If the employer has questions, they will usually reach out through the contact path they prefer, such as email or a scheduling link. Keep your phone and email current on your profile to avoid missing those touchpoints.
If a role is filled or closed, the status will usually reflect that. You can then focus energy on the next best-fit openings and keep your materials updated for the next application.
