Read clearance language in postings carefully, know what you can self-attest versus what requires sponsorship, and avoid applying out of scope.
Postings may reference investigation types, eligibility categories, or facility access. If you are unsure whether you qualify, ask the employer through their stated channel before assuming.
Do not upload classified content to prove clearance; use the fields and attestations the product provides and follow your security office guidance.
If you are in process but not cleared yet, say so honestly in screening answers—many programs can work with interim statuses when allowed.
